Botox® injections generally involve a small quantity of Botulinum Toxin which is injected to paralyze the muscles producing wrinkles in the facial area. In the past the injection was only used by the mature population to treat forehead creases, frown lines and "crow's feet".
Currently following the approval of FDA, a rising number of young women in their 20s have started using Botox® injections to get rid of their lines and wrinkles, even before they have started and to prevent or prolong their ageing process.
The drug is mainly used by the younger women to smooth their eyebrows and remove frown lines and is catching up with the hope of preventing them from ever forming again. Analyzing the results achieved so far, it has been proven, that a continuous use of Botox® in young women may avoid or delay any further facial wrinkles as the treatment prevents the muscles from creating them.
Usually younger women are injected with a lower dosage of Botox® with a combination of dermal fillers to remove facial wrinkles and lines.
